As an experienced Consultant I feel that I have a good rapport with patients and the team. I am a firm believer that good communication is one of the most important attributes for a surgeon as this engenders confidence in the patient and supporting team and leads to positive outcomes.

He is happy to be contacted for advice on patient management at any time and is always approachable to give advice to juniors. Though he works part time, he responds to queries quickly. He is exceptionally conscientious, is always early to clinics and stays to finish the clinic. He is always respectful and professional to colleagues and patients and always finds time to help and give advice and is encouraging to the team. He is a pleasure to work with.

Mr Halfpenny assess and investigate his patients condition and make sure that the patient has understood what has been proposed and why, and inform them of any significant risk or side effects associated with the treatment Mr halfpenny is polite and honest and treat his patients as an individual. Respect his patients privacy and right to confidentiality. He support them in caring for themselves to improve and maintain their heath after surgery. Embrace the power of communication to support patients and colleagues with the best available information. He offered guidance and support to the junior doctors and the respect he shows to the whole team regardless who they are, is also given to him.
Wayne is a highly skilled and professional surgeon, who's years of experience are clearly evident throughout his work. He has an extremely caring attitude towards his patients and always considers the wider aspects of their care, outside of the surgery itself. His communication skills are excellent, involving a multidisciplinary team in the planning of complex patients, and in theatre he values and respects all members of the team. I don't think I have met anyone who does not speak highly of him – his calm and positive attitude in theatre makes him an absolute pleasure to work with.
